Hello United Arab Emirates!

spela horvat airport
So this year holidays for me started as a “unknown holidays”. Till the flight I didn’t know where I will go. The feeling was so unexpected and at the same time I was so excited! My love is the best guy on the world so he organised everything perfectly.

YES! I’m flying to Abu Dhabi. Thanks to Lara and Etihad our flight was so comfy. This 6 hours past so quickly. Etihad is really the best airline. I ate delicious, whatever I want and watched movies which I cannot watch even in cinema.

You are probably wondering what is behind black curtain. We have been here during the RAMADAN. What is Ramadan? It is the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar. Every day during this month, Muslims around the world spend the daylight hours in a complete fast. They abstain from food, drink, and other physical needs during the daylight hours. As a time to purify the soul, refocus attention on God, and practice self-sacrifice, Ramadan is much more than just not eating and drinking. Therefore, fasting is not merely physical, but is rather the total commitment of the person’s body and soul to the spirit of the fast. Ramadan is a time to practice self-restraint; a time to cleanse the body and soul from impurities and re-focus one’s self on the worship of God.

In my opinion Ramadan include a lot of techniques that people around the wourld should involve in their lifes. If muslims feel spiritual free and some kind of “new born” after Ramadan, then I totally support it. For example if you go out in the city and some muslim see you drinking or eating prepare your wallet. Penalty is very expensive! I personal agree with this, if you are in Arabic world then act like one of them. Respect their lifestyle and different culture.

Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque

This is really one of the finest structures in Abu Dhabi. A place where you can get a better understanding of the local culture and religion.

DCIM100GOPRODCIM100GOPRODCIM100GOPRODCIM101GOPRORemember to dress respectfully – no shorts or skirts and covered shoulders. In any case, women will be given an abaya and sheila to wear, while men dressed inappropriately will be given a dish-dash to wear.

Inside you need to be barefoot and you cannot touch/contact with other people.

Sheikh Zayed is a place of worship that would help people come together, understand Islam and see it as a religion that has a message of peace, tolerance and diversity.

I’ve had a wonderful experience from Abu Dhabi. I’m very glad that I’ve been here in the time of Ramadam so my experience was 101% completed.
